There’s a new study out about CrossFit. I’ll leave my personal feelings out about it – for now – but it says CrossFit is bad for you if you do the workouts two days in a row.
It’s too intense to do that often, so it can damage your immune system because you’re pushing your body too hard. Read the study HERE.
My two cents as a regular person who has done CrossFit for three years but also has NO medical training or degrees. Like anything in life where you are exercising, be that CrossFit, running, regular gyms, whatever…you have to listen to your body and make sure you are being taught by people who know what they are doing. The first year I did CrossFit I worked out almost everyday and still ate horribly. Even though my Coaches told me not to. I got sick a lot that year. I wasn’t treating my body with respect. I’ve gotten better about that through the years. Like I said, I’m no medical doctor and I would not want someone to take my advice and get hurt. If you decide to do CrossFit you have to do your research and make sure you are going to a box (gym) where the Coaches have been properly trained and know what they are doing.
