Why I Love Kourtney Kardashian’s Family

By Holly

I’m usually the first person to roll my eyes when it comes to the Kardashian/Jenner clan. In fact, earlier this year I felt so strongly that our society had reached max Kardashian capacity that I chose to stop talking about them completely during our “Hot in Hollywood” segment. Have you missed them? No? Me neither.

Except I still see various Kardashian stories drift across my plate, and I still follow a few of them on social media. It is part my job, after all, to keep up with celebrity news, and if anything truly exceptional happens with any of them I feel it’s my responsibility to cover it.

As far as I know, no one has covered what I’m about to talk about. It might actually be the tamest thing any of these people has ever done…but possibly the most important.

I was scrolling through Instagram when I stumbled upon Kourtney Kardashian’s family Halloween picture:

I know it's now November, but…

What’s so important about this picture is that, even though Kourtney is no longer together with Scott Disick, they are both present in this photo, celebrating the holiday as a family.

This speaks VOLUMES to me about the way both Kourtney and Scott choose to interact as the co-parents of three young children. Even though they’re not together, they can still EXIST together and put their children first.

I know this is absolutely not possible in every split-parent situation. But I do wish more co-parents would strive for this type of civil relationship with each for the sake of their children. I am so thankful that my ex and I can do this. I’m not saying it’ll always be easy, because I’m sure it won’t. But it’s sure worth giving it a shot!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

I don’t want this post to come off sounding preachy, I just wanted to spread a little positivity. Thank you for being an inspiration to those of us in a similar situation, Kourtney Kardashian!
