And isn’t it only right??? To go out with friends in your hometown, get totally drunk, wake up and have a huge FEAST?!! I think so!

For a long time the night before Thanksgiving has been known as one of the biggest bar nights of the year and is sometimes even referred to as ‘Blackout Wednesday’. Why though?? Well, the answer is pretty simple to me. Thanks to a 4-day weekend we don’t have an excuse NOT to go out and a lot of us are back in our hometowns and may even stay with our parents. So let’s face it, going out with high school friends you haven’t seen in awhile MUST be accompanied by large amounts of alcohol. Nobody likes seeing that annoying Lauren from Geometry is married with a rich hot husband OR that your ex cleaned up his act and maybe you should have stayed with him?!?! How about the guy you made out with one time and never gave up on you, oh yeah he’s there too. AND SARAH! SHE GOT SO PRETTY AND SKINNY!!!! Deep breaths….”Another round please!”

By the end of the night, your all so tanked that none of it matters anymore and you’ll save any regrets you have for the Uber drive’s ear on the way home to your old bedroom in your parents house. SO READY to spend the day with close family, lots of love, and of course delicious food.

SANTA ROSA, CA - FEBRUARY 07: Russian River Brewing Company staff members toast the release of Pliny the Younger triple IPA beer before opening the doors to the public on February 7, 2014 in Santa Rosa, California. Hundreds of people lined up hours before the opening of Russian River Brewing Co. to taste the 10th annual release of the wildly popular Pliny the Younger triple IPA beer that will only be available on tap from February 7th through February 20th. Craft beer aficionados rank Pliny the Younger as one of the top beers in the world. The craft beer sector of the beverage industry has grown from being a niche market into a fast growing 12 billion dollar business, as global breweries continue to purchase smaller regional craft breweries such this week?s purchase of New York?s Blue Point Brewing by AB Inbev. So that was my take on why it’s the biggest bar night. Here’s a much more sensible article on the issue.

No matter what though, if you do go out tonight PLEASE be safe! Uber, Lyft, cab it, or just call your Mom and bring back some memories for her too. 😉
