How should a dog wear pants? The debate has been settled

A little over a year ago, a photo went viral that divided the nation:

A majority of us (yes, myself included) chose the dog on the right. I can’t explain why–maybe it’s because MY pants look like that and when I think pants, I think two legs. I also think of a dog’s front legs sort of like arms, because my dog Nala uses her front paws to hold chew bones and knock on the door to be let in from outside (knock, scratch, whatever.) And if front legs are like arms, you wouldn’t wear pants on your arms!

Well I’m here to tell you I was wrong. We all were. A photo has surfaced of a man and his dog walking in the snow, a situation where a dog WOULD conceivably wear pants if it could, and indeed the dog is wearing pants. ON ALL FOUR LEGS.

Yes, this is real life.

Of course the pants cover all four legs. Now that I see this, why WOULDN’T a dog want all appendages touching a cold surface to be covered for warmth?! Shame on me for assuming 4-legged animals would wear pants like 2-legged animals do.

I hope this gives you some peace of mind. Let us put down our weapons and respect a dog’s right to pants in 2017, and move on to today’s pressing issues:
