Some might say this was a “YouTube prank gone bad” but this was no PRANK!
Authorities in Minnesota have arrested a pregnant 19-year-old woman for fatally shooting her boyfriend while recording a YouTube video.
MonaLisa Perez was charged with second-degree manslaughter yesterday in the death of her 22-year-old boyfriend. Pedro Ruiz III held up a book Monday night while Perez discharged a .50-caliber gun outside their home.
The couple had been trying to see whether the bullet would go through the book. Instead, the bullet struck Ruiz in the chest while the couple’s 3-year-old daughter watched. Ruiz’s aunt said it was part of stunt the couple intended to share on YouTube.
The aunt said, “They were in love. It was just a prank gone wrong. I wish they wouldn’t have done it. I wish he would’ve just done another prank. He was so young. He had so much going for himself.”

I love the outdoors, playing with my kids, and spending time in the kitchen with my wife Jennifer. Very few people in this world are blessed to do something they love for a living. I really love my job! I caught the radio bug when I was 9 years old. I sat there, watching my dad run a broadcast and speaking through a microphone to live callers. It amazed me so much..So much that it’s my life now, and I love it!
