Children who are spanked are more likely to suffer from mental health issues.

A study analyzed five decades of spanking research which represented about 160,000 children. The study found children were more likely to defy their parents, become anti-social and be more aggressive if they were spanked.

However, a poll done in 2013 found 81% of Americans believe “parents spanking their children is sometimes appropriate.”
