This can’t come to the Bay Area fast enough. My guess every “Whole Foods” store will turn into an “Amazon Go” store!

After a year of testing, Amazon opened its store today that lets you browse, grab and walk out while skipping the checkout line.

The convenience store features hundreds of cameras and sensors and requires a new Amazon app for customers to shop there.

Amazon claimed that the store’s high-tech design gets rid of long lines at the checkout. The retail giant says its the biggest breakthrough for grocery stores since barcodes.

The technology behind Amazon Go is called Just Walk Out.

If it succeeds, it stands to live up to those early expectations of a revolution in grocery shopping.
